Notre Dame Fighting Irish football team is the football team of the University of Notre Dame, a private, Catholic university located in Notre Dame, Indiana, USA (abutting South Bend, IN, a few miles south of the Michigan border, and 100 miles east of Chicago, IL). All home games are televised on NBC.
The Fighting Irish have won 11 national championships, produced 96 All-Americans and 7 Heisman Trophy winners - all more than any other Football Bowl Subdivision school.  USC, Michigan, Michigan State, and Navy are among Notre Dame's rivals.
